After this past weekend, I was inspired to take some time this week to reflect on things that are personal to me and that make me humble myself before a Holy God. In awe, I am so thankful for things in my life that remind me How Great is Our God!
I always love looking back at pictures that bring me to a place of awe and worship. Tomorrow, April 17th, is my little baby’s fifth birthday. I cannot believe how fast life can be; we are but a mist. I am not sure about the rest of you, but when I look at a picture of babies hands or feet, I can only be reminded about how precise and intricate that our God is.
The other picture that makes me smile is our men’s ministry called Men of Faith.
We meet on the first four Thursday nights of every month and the first four Saturday mornings of every month. On our Saturday morning, we had two brothers that wanted more from this group, so without any leading , they took it upon themselves to lead worship and to bring us to a place that opens my heart for the Word that is brought every Saturday (Thanks Jim C and Chris H – you guys Rock!).
The lyrics that are on this screen ring very true to me in my walk. I have had about four years of trials and tribulations (between family health and my own trials in my daily walk) but that song (Blessed be your name – performed by Tree 63) really rings home to my heart. This group of men is a very healthy (both spiritually and physically) place for me to be. I love these guys!
These two pictures just make me want to sing, “Blessed Be Your Name!”
