Thankful: Part 6

This week is Thanksgiving and I have been thinking about the men and women in my life that God has used to shape me into the Christian man that I am.  So for several posts, I am going to share with you who I am thankful for.  I encourage you to practice this same exercise as we enter into the season of Thanksgiving.

Like I said yesterday, I have been at Faith Church for five years.  As I finish up my blog postings about what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving season, I would like to share why I am thankful for Faith Church.

• I am thankful for Faith Church because of the amazing people that make up this community.  You are some of the most generous, service-oriented, Christ-honoring group of men and women that I have ever encountered.  This church is special and you all should know what a blessing you are to the Lord and North West Indiana.
• I am thankful for Faith Church because of the superb support staff we have.  One of our values as a church is to do all things with excellence.  A major reason that this value is met again and again is because of all the support staff that serve behind the scenes.  They work hard and with excellence. We are blessed as a church to have such an amazing support staff!
• I am thankful for Faith Church because of its pastoral staff.  I love working with Bob, Mike, Charlie, Dave W., Jason, Reggie, Dave G. and Brett.  These guys are all the real deal.  I am blessed to know them, be shaped and challenged by them and see God do extraordinary things through them.
• Finally, I am thankful for Faith Church because of its vision–to reach the disconnected and grow the connected.  Our vision is God honoring and God has used it to change countless lives.  I am thankful to be a part of such an amazing vision-driven church!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for Faith Church.
