Thank you, Faith Church members, for your continued financial support. God is working through the ministries of Faith Church to provide opportunities for spiritual growth and community in the lives of many people. We see evidence of this in people’s lives that have been forever changed through worship, hearing of the Word, Student & Children’s Ministries, Mini-Churches and other ministries offered through Faith Church at all our campus locations
It is, however, a continued concern that our receipts are insufficient to cover our 2011 Budget. The Stewardship Team continues to work with ministry leaders to suspend any non-essential spending and they are in the process of identifying other cost cutting measures. The difficulty lies in that the Budget was already limited based on the resources considered necessary to meet our ministry objectives. In fact the 2011 Budget, although larger than 2010, asks each member, because of our continued growth, to give a comparable gift to the Lord that they did in 2010.
Your financial support is needed and we value your partnership as a member of Faith Church to help in our efforts to expand God’s Kingdom. We hope that you will receive the joy and blessing that comes from honoring God’s command to give back to Him. Tithing is a spiritual discipline that we would ask everyone to seriously consider. The scripture tell us that a tithe is 10% of your income. If you are beginning in your spiritual journey of giving, you might start with a 1%-5% contribution. Those already giving may strive for a 5%-10% tithe, and some already tithing at 10% may want to consider additional offerings and see what God will do.
All that we are and all that we have as individuals and families is a gift entrusted to us by God. May each of us be found faithful in giving back the time, talents and resources that God has blessed us with. May God shower his financial resources on Faith Church so that it might continue to produce good fruit for His Kingdom!
“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” Malachi 3:10
