Every August over 160,000 people gather throughout America and 90 countries for 48 hours of insights, teaching and learning on leadership.
This year Bill Hybels started the Leadership Summit with this phrase, “Everything improves when leaders get better.” I agree. I have been able to attend each and every Leadership Summit and can say with absolute certainty that every year my leadership has improved.
Each year the Summit begins, two thoughts run through my head:
1. I am so glad I came.
2. I feel bad for those who did not come.
To sit under the speakers like Bill Hybels, Condoleeza Rice, Craig Groeschel, Patrick Lencioni, Tim Collins, John Ortberg, etc. is priceless. Those who are leaders in the church or the business world are both taught and inspired. We even hear stories of non-believers who loved the Summit and have been nudged towards God because of it!
