“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
II Corinthians 12:8-9
We pray for the mountains to be removed from our lives, yet it’s on the mountain where God meets with His people. We learn to walk with God and trust Him. We realize that He is our walking guide instructing us which stone to step on next. We realize that often He wraps the rope around us and carries us over the next stone when we just can’t take another step. And when we’re over the mountain, it’s then, that we look back at that mountain and realize just how crucial Christ’s strength and power was on our journey both then and forevermore. Can’t you see why Paul boasted about his weaknesses? He knew Christ’s power is revealed on the mountains. What mountain have you climbed? What mountain might you be on right now? Do you rest in the comfort of knowing that Christ is walking with you every step of the way?
