Today’s Chapter: Acts 9

“‘Who are you, Lord?’ Saul asked.

‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied. ‘Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.’” Acts 9:5-6

The Lord revealed Himself to Saul but He didn’t fill Saul in on all the plans that the Lord had for his life to spread the gospel throughout the Gentiles. He simply said ‘go into the city’… one step at a time. Often we want the Lord to lay it all out, to fill us in on all the details and the complete plan. God’s way is one step at a time. Sometimes we must walk blindly in obedience – and in Saul’s case, he literally walked blindly in obedience into the city – to get to the next step in God’s plan not knowing what that is. Yet, Paul knew enough already that God was in control of it all. How does that encourage you to continue on even if you don’t know what God’s plans are for you?
